Gite du Calme - Villa (self catering ) or B & B near Cognac
Gite du Calme is a holiday villa (self catering) accommodation with three double en-suite bedrooms. Set in a large garden with swimming pool, childrens play area near Cognac and Saintes in the Cognac grape growing region of the Charente Maritime SW France.
The family bedroom (Oak) has an adjoining twin room for the children with toys and books.One of the bedrooms (Acacia) is on the ground floor with a walk in shower.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a country table seating 8. The lounge/salon has a PC, WiFi,TV, DVD player,mini stereo, books, magazines and board games for the whole family.
In the garden there is a 4m trampoline, 8x4 swimming pool with safety cover, swings, badminton, bicycles, helmets and table tennis and a BBQ.
We are just 30 minutes drive to the beach at Royan and a couple of mins by car to the beautiful river Charente. Cognac is just 11 km where you can find out how the Cognac is made and taste all the different varieties. Both Saintes and Cognac are boutique villages brimming with independent shops, cafes and restaurants. For provisions there are food markets everyday except Mondays and supermarkets that are open every day.
There is an abundance of tourist attractions in this region, great for the whole family.
