Lawn Cottage has been a quirky landmark on the edge of the small village of Godney near Glastonbury for over 150 years. Once a Victorian hayloft at the foot of the Vicarage lawns, it now provides modest yet comfortable accommodation, inviting visitors to enjoy the open views, beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife of the Somerset Levels. Retaining much of its original charm, features include flagstone floors, open beams and a narrow staircase.
One double and one single bedroom, sleeps 2 - 3, also popular with single guests. A well equipped fitted kitchen with cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and plenty of pots and pans. Cosy sitting room with flatscreen tv/dvd, and electric %u201Cwoodburning%u201D style stove. In the summer you can enjoy meals in the sunny conservatory with views across fields to Glastonbury Tor, but Godney is a farming community so expect to see passing farm traffic too!
Children and dogs welcome. All linen, towels, heating, electricity included in the tariff. Available for memorable weeks or short breaks many excellent eating places in nearby Wells and Glastonbury.
