Affordable B and B on South Kent coast.

Waterside is a family run Guesthouse with five ensuite rooms all clean comfortable and cosy. A guest bar/lounge leading onto our dining room where breakfast is served between 7.30am to 9am and you have a choice of a full English served with local free range eggs, quality pork and sage sausages locally sourced from Rooks butchers in Hythe, various cereals, poridge in the winter and yohgurt with fruit in the summer and various other options like poached/scrambled eggs on toasted bread from our local Baker in Dymchurch etc: Evening meals are available, traditional Kentish Fayre prepared and cooked on our premises all locally sourced produce where possible. We have a rear terrace overlooking Romney marsh where you can see Swans, Mallard Ducks, Moorhens, Little Grebes, Herons and if you are sitting very still the Kingfisher will come and land on the perch put there for him to sit and fish in the dyke a fantastic experience. A beautiful sandy safe beach is just a short walk away and the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway which can be seen from our rear terrace and from the dinning room, this is the Worlds smallest public steam railway which runs from Hythe to Dungeness. Port Lympne wild animal park is just 4 miles away where you can see rare endangered wild cats, monkeys also gorrilas, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, wildbeast and much much more. There are plenty of world famous gardens within a short car ride away. Dover Castle a magnificent fortification going back to Napoleonic times where you can venture in to the underground tunnels that where used in the second world war. Leeds castle a beautiful castle with wonderful grounds this is30 minutes away by car. Canterbury with its Cathedral and olde world shops and streets. Rye another old town with it's cobbled streets and tea rooms and antique shops. Dover is just 30 minutes away if you are catching a ferry across to Europe or the Channel tunnel which is just 20 minutes away from us. RSPB visitor centre at Dungeness.
